Trying to find a therapist can be stressful, but it's important to find the right fit. I work hard to foster a meaningful therapeutic relationship with each of my clients and view this connection as the critical factor in promoting growth and change. I am dedicated to providing my clients with a safe space, and emphasize the importance of collaboration, flexibility, open-mindedness, and empathy.

Not "one-size-fits all"

Although I draw upon evidence-based treatments in my work, I strongly believe that there is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy, therefore I tailor my approach to each client's individual needs and unique goals, a process which very much involves active client participation.  My aim is to empower my clients to achieve a rich and meaningful life, and I believe therapy works best when we work together to figure out how to make that happen.

Treatment Approaches

Among the evidence-based approaches I have studied and use:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassionate Inquiry, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), as well as mind-body approaches like Sensorimotor Psychology (SP), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST).

I think each approach has something to add but that ultimately what matters most is what works for YOU.
